• Beam is made of steel. A steel beam is superior to aluminum in suppressing and absorbing the forces created during cutting. It is internally ribbed to stiffen the assembly; this design minimizes the vibration while increasing accuracy and repeatability. 

• Dual pneumatic counter-balance cylinder to allow very fast and accurate Z-axis positioning.

• The machine is equipped with water-cooled electric spindles, and their advantages are low noise and slight temperature rise, which are ideal for a long time run.    

• The X and Y axis motion is via a rack and pinion drive, which is hardened for extremely long life and ground for a very good accuracy; The Z axis is driven by a hardened rolling antibacklash ball screw.

• The Y-axis uses a dual drive, one for each side of the gantry.

• Each axis of motion is supported on high precision square linear guides, which allow for higher feed speeds and a better quality of cut.

• All the linear guides are centrally lubricated from a central system.
