The demo briefly shows the modes of the four-axis machining capability of the polystyrene profiling router machine. • The mounting surface of the precision components (linear guides and rack) is one-time milled by top quality 5-axis CNC machining center; mismachining tolerance is less than 0.02mm. (For your information, if use planer milling machine, the tolerance will be up to 2mm; That’s why EagleTec does not do that way.) The carriage travel guide, rack, and pinion have reliable protection against the ingress of polystyrene, foam, and wood chip and dust on their surfaces. 

• Correct the straightness of the linear guideways with a laser collimator. 

• Use the marble ruler and the dial gauge to test the parallelism of the guide rail.

During the design phase, our engineers take the issue into consideration already. And made some unique designs on our 4 axis cnc foam router for improving rigidity. Details as below: 

• The bed is welded by thick-walled square tube and subjected to vibration stress relief treatment (VSR) to eliminate stress. Triangular supports are designed at the critical joints, thus increasing the stability of the joints.

• The beam is welded with 300*400mm big square tubes, the thickness of beam and support legs are 10mm, with 32mm ribs in them to stiffen the assembly and reduce vibration. All the design makes sure the rigidity of the whole machine. The gross weight of the EagleTec 4 axis cnc foam router is more than 7,000kgs. The weight of the machine is essential for rigidity assurance.  

• Adjustable foot under the work table and legs to make sure the table doesn't subsidence uneven when the table very big.

• Designed with safeguard doors for operating area.

• The equipped spindle is a high torque & big power HQD automatic tool change spindle, with the ISO30 tool tapers. It can hold tools with a maximum diameter of 20mm. The spindle is 4 axis, can swing ±90°.

Q: Can We Equip A Water-Cooled Spindle for the 4 Axis Polystyrene Router Machine?

A: The 4-axis machine could not match with the water-cooled spindle. It is due to it's the motion head construction (4-axis). The water-cooled spindle has a heavy load for 4-axis, and the result is that the machining performance cannot reach the best. Also, if the 4-axis is equipped with water cooling, it will affect the cooling effect of the spindle itself, and the result is that the spindle's lifespan is shortened.

• Z-axis stroke of 4 axis cnc polystyrene profiling router is up to 1000mm, and the load is relatively heavy. To ensure fast and accurate positioning, we designed a dual pneumatic counter-balance for Z.

• Z axis is driven by Delta servo 1,300w motor with holding brake, transmission way is via precise ballscrew.

• Also has a 4-axis rotary axis.

Q: What 3D Software Comes with Machine?

A: We supply PowerMILL software as the 3D software. Further, we provide you post-processor, which is developed by ourselves. You know, if you only have software without post-processor, you cannot output toolpath files for the CNC Machine.
